Emily - Corpse Bride Mermay Fan Art

Throughout May I have taken part in the Mermay Instagram challenge, I have redesigned characters as Mermaids. For this one I chose to do Emily from Corpse Bride, I have designed backgrounds for each one and played with lighting and shadow, trying to stay in keeping with the style of the film. I found animated characters worked best, as even in a different style they had so many features that were specific to them you could play around with their design and it still be obvious who it is.
